#10 MH Trip Update – January 2023 – Praying for Children… healings and a creative miracle. Part 3

Morning house –

One girl has only one atrium and one ventricle, they are on the wrong side and backwards. Only one lung functions and the second one has only 50% capacity. She runs and plays although she tires easily and experiences shortness of breath.

I happened to sit down next to her, not knowing, who was who of the stories I’d heard before entering the house.  Doctors can’t believe she is alive and don’t have any idea how to help her.  I prayed for a creative miracle, trusting God for an outcome only he can do!!  God of miracles! We wait and believe.

This boy –

After praying for all children and the several children individually, he raised his hand for prayer.

He said, he wanted his hands to look the same. His right hand didn’t have fingers, only three little bulb type things and a thumb. I took his hand, touched it and held it with my hands above and below. We all prayed and believed- I felt movement between my hands but didn’t know if he was just wiggling. We had a look, it seemed all three bulbs were slightly bigger. I looked at him and his eyes were popping out of his head.  We thanked God and prayed again.  This time I asked him if he was ready to peek, he agreed. This time the pinky was significantly elongated, and we actually saw it grow about a quarter inch as we looked at it. I felt his bones in his hand. Before it wasn’t recognizable if he had three or four metacarpals in his hand, but now he did and there was now a nub in the spot of a fourth finger. The pinky now an inch long, the bulbs are larger and there is now a nub where there was nothing. He was crying and now moving and wiggling the digits. All the children were completely engaged in and saw the creative miracle we all praised Jesus for what He was/is doing! We declared, Jesus finishes what he starts… He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it!

Then I invited everyone to continue to believe for more, for their friend/brother. So, we agreed they would all shake hands with him and every time they do, they say, “More Lord”! Immediately they all lined up and did this right away.

The medical staff woman came in during the prayer time, so it was wonderful to have not only the director there but also the medical professional to help evaluate the changes. They thought there were file photos of what his hand looked like previously – will be great for comparison!!

A typically a quiet girl

She asked for prayer, so she wouldn’t have to take medicine anymore.  As I prayed for her, I asked if she felt anything, she just said, good… she was crying and there were so many teardrops falling on the table in front of her! Holy Spirit encountered her that morning!

Prayed for all who ‘have to take medicine’!  (Code for particular conditions)

3 big boys, able to do well at school and get good grades.

One – emphysema

Another – sickle cell

The house mom asked for prayer for her neck and shoulder. I had the children put hands on her and I prayed from across the room, she could move and was pain free.

Another staff woman asked for prayer for peace, I had all the children stretch their hands toward her – I prayed from across the room, releasing Shalom… her countenance completely shifted.

After the children were released to go to school, the staff woman shared that she had woken with terrible dread and negative thoughts. Fear gripped her as she came to work… after praying she was completely set free.  We talked about the lying devil and how with Jesus’ peace is in us, we simply identify and exchange – His Shalom is always available!

The medical lady also had neck and shoulder pain, when I put my hands on her shoulders, they were so so tight, all pain went to zero and her mobility increased!

I returned to my room to finish packing.  The director brought me some chai and said her cleaning lady also wanted prayer.

When she can in, she had the most adorable adult dimples – she explained she had pain in her right shoulder, elbow, knee, and foot. First, I checked her leg length, off about 3/4 of an inch, got better, but not 100%.  I stood behind her and put my hands on her shoulders. The pain went away from her right shoulder, then her elbow. This is so awesome, I noticed she had moved her hand onto her knee. So, I walked around in front of her, asked her about her hand on her knee. She said, she felt cold in her shoulder then her elbow and the pain left, so she wanted it to go to her knee too, so that’s why she put her hand on her knee.  I had her stand up and check her knee.  She bent it lifting it up and down. I didn’t understand that she couldn’t bend it before, then she said, she hadn’t been able to bend it for five years. Then she reflected, how challenging it has been to go to the village (this means to her rural home, up country, to visit extended family) she couldn’t squat for potty!  (Often the only option in rural areas) She was so happy about the knee, I then asked about her foot, and she said it’s cold and tingly with no pain!

Glory Hallelujah!

She was so delighted, she practically skipped out the door to return to her housekeeping!

Thank you, God – Thank you, for all these people who experienced YOU in a powerful way. Thank you for the honor to be a small part of such a glorious moment!  Holy, Holy, Holy, God!  I have tears as I recount these stories and the Goodness of God.  He is Faithful!  All glory and honor to Jesus – in His powerful name!!  Amen

Being my flight day, I finished my packing, loaded up, headed to Nairobi.  Went to do one of my favorite things… pray from the high places.  I have a favorite helipad atop the City Center of Nairobi.  I can see for miles and pray for this nation, over government: national, county and local leaders, commerce, courts, police, Ministry of Education, university students, trains and planes, major transportation, Immigration Office, Kenya Revenue Authority, Central Bank of Kenya, many denominations of churches…!  We were treated to a grand luncheon buffet and on to the airport in the evening.  Always grateful for timely and safe travel, all the way home!  To God be the Glory!

Abundant Thanks for going with me on this journey – your prayers are powerful and effective!
