#9 MH Trip Update – January 2023 – A Day at MH-Limuru

Limuru is the location that first opened in 2006 with 23 children.  Such memories there in the slum that first captured my heart, it was there too, when God spoke the WORD (2005) that changed my life!  We took the time to go through the area and point out the site of our first evangelistic drama, the first location we rented where we started Miracle House and places that held sweet memories.  I had a beautiful time with our children, interacting and in conversations.  They do much of the cooking now, as part of their contribution to their “Give Back” program.  This was designed to parallel community service hours in the US.  All part of their requirement to apply for a scholarship with MH to go to college.  Their cooking is good!  We ate some very nice mukimu (Mum deanna’s favorite) and beef for lunch, a very special treat.  We held a parent/guardian meeting.  This group of guardians is seriously experiencing transformation!   Our staff members have ministered so beautifully to them, there are now moms who were drunkards and prostitutes, who are now saved (greatest miracle ever!) and set free!  That is a change in a child’s life that can’t be replaced by anything else!  Many are coming weekly for a prayer meeting at Miracle House.  God is breaking down the strongholds and setting people free!

I’m sooo proud of our staff members in both Webuye and Limuru, especially our administrative people who give beyond measure for our children!   Always tears for me and our children when I must leave!   Until we meet again…

This evening we met the directors of the children’s home, that hosted us, in Nairobi – our pleasure to treat them to dinner!  Found out after we were there, the place we had chosen held special memories for them.   God is Good!  We enjoyed sweet fellowship together and some delicious Indian food too!

What an honor to fellowship together and share the dreams God has put in hearts to fulfill the Great Commission!   Hallelujah!  Glory to God!

Please pray encouragement, protection, favor, provision, and supernatural grace for all who are serving the children of Africa with Godly values!
