Miracle House Kenya Trip January 2023 #1

#1 MH Trip Update Kenya 🇰🇪 here I come❣️ – CAMP and more!

Early Saturday departure… first flight cancelled, completely rerouted my trip, now arriving Monday morning, rather than Sunday night, which meant two nights in travel.   Landed safely Nairobi 🇰🇪 I wept in the immigration line, so thankful to be back on Kenyan soil.  😳 no checked bags, 3-50lb trunks MIA, took 2 hours to get out of airport – Praise the Lord at all times 🤣 Sometimes the most interesting circumstances cause me to realize, God’s got good plans!

Thankful to see a friend who collected me and took me directly (3-hour drive) to the “MH camp” we were having for all our Miracle House children. All our children and staff

Hadassah has come through her first surgery very well. The doctors were able to clean out the wounds thoroughly and even removed pieces of glass that had been imbedded in her arm.

She will be going back into surgery this next week (Tues, Wed or Thurs) to have the bones set and the arm reconstructed. Her hand is doing better and the swelling is much less and continues to

OK FRIENDS!! KEEP PRAYING!

Reports through the day today have been ALL GOOD!!
God is so GOOD!!

First, Joseph sent a note saying the swelling is down 40%. A little while later it was 65%. THEN we got another message from them saying that the swelling just continues to go down; after reading the CT SCAN – which happened first thing this morning – the doctor’s have decided to go ahead with surgery, but not to take the hand – they are going to go in and clean the wounds thoroughly and then will be giving her a

Emily is Joseph’s wife (and former head teacher/administrator for MH) and Hadasseh is their first born. Joseph is our financial manager and administrator for Miracle House in Kenya. Last Friday – April 11, 2014 – Joseph and his family (including his brother and sister) were traveling home to Webuye when they were cut off, causing their van to roll. Emily and Hadasseh were ejected from the vehicle. All others walked away uninjured from the accident. We are praising GOD for this miraculous event – all survived this very serious situation. Even though there are injuries, they are all alive and with us today!

Fundraiser at Dillon Dam

Good afternoon friends!

We wanted to share good news with you and an answer to many prayers!

First, Deanna made it safely back to the US and is currently in California having meetings and finishing up a few items before heading home to Colorado this weekend! Just in time for the big fundraiser next Wednesday night! (more about that later)

The BIG news is that the teacher’s strike is OVER!!! Halleluiah!! The government has been able to come to terms with the teachers and everyone is going back to school. The dates of the term are being adjusted to allow for the dates missed so that everyone can stay on track! Another answer to prayers.

We are excited to share this wonderful news with

Update from Kenya 09.20.12

Hello praying friends! Deanna has had an over full week! Thank you so much for praying over her!!

Her meetings all went very well this week and we are thankful for the people who have come to the surface around her, including our attorney’s. They’ve done a great job in trying to get everything handled while she is in country.

We are under contract with the builder and he has begun to get all of the pieces in place to begin the actual construction later this fall – he has a lot of “preliminary work” to do before he can actually start the buildings. PLEASE STAND WITH US IN PRAYER!!

Deanna was able to go out to Webuye for a very quick trip

Update from Kenya 09.12.12

Good morning everyone. As we wake this morning, Deanna, Garrett and Kelli are at Miracle House with the children able to spend some quality time with them. God is good and we continue to see His faithfulness. The children are growing, several of the newer children are finally putting on weight and responding to the vitamins!

We also want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLI!! What a great way to celebrate!

Unfortunately, Deanna’s important meeting that was scheduled today has been postponed to the 18th, please continue to lift her up as she prepares once again for this meeting next week.

Also, there is currently a teacher’s strike across Kenya which has all but shut down many of the schools in the country. This
